Early Morning on the Kilauea Iki Trail in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park

On our last day in the park I set off alone in a drizzle to complete the Kilauea Iki (small Kilauea) ciruit trail which begins on the lush fern forest of the crater rim and leads down into the 55 year-old crumpled bed of the lake of lava that spewed heavenward in 1959. Here are my best pics of this wonderful adventure.
